By buying this handmade dog collar, you are supporting Conservation South Luangwa’s K9 Unit in their bid to reduce wildlife trafficking in Zambia. This collar represents the beautiful black Labrador, Cassi.

In 2014, Conservation South Luangwa established Zambia's first wildlife detection dog unit in South Luangwa, in partnership with Working Dogs for Conservation, a US-based NGO. Specialised rescue dogs were brought in from the USA and now reside in Mfuwe.

CSL K9 Unit

10 year anniversary

A decade ago, CSL established Zambia’s first conservation K9 Unit in partnership with Zambia’s Department of National Parks and Wildlife and supported by Working Dogs for Conservation.

This specialised team, which consists of five dogs and nine handlers, is dedicated to detecting illegal wildlife products and tracking wildlife crime suspects.
