Can you introduce yourself and tell us about your role within the company?
My name is Nsabila Njobvu, I am the retail development Manager.
When did you join Tribal Textiles and why did you pick Tribal Textiles?
I joined Tribal Textile in July 2011, I picked Tribal because I love the working in Retail and helping tourists (The Tribal store is located next to one of Zambia's national park) make memories, and with my love for ART, I saw that it was something really great.
How has your role evolved overtime?
I started work as a shop assistant, then got promoted to senior sale assistant and with time got promoted to shop manager, and finally where I am today in my role as Retail Development Manager.
Can you share any memorable customer interactions?
Wahoo, I have so many memories with customers, I create a bond with some of them and continue to chat even after they have gone back to their countries. One I love the most is a certain customer who has kept in constant communication, and they always let me know when they are coming back to South Luangwa.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?
The most rewarding part of my job is when I manage to reach our sales targets, sometimes it can be a bit of a struggle, especially post-covid where tourism is still suffering here.
How would you describe Tribal Textiles?
Tribal Textiles is an amazing place to work for, the people around tribal are always giving me a positive mood, the production staff and shop staff are always amazing, and I always feel at home.
Tell us about a colleague past or present who was inspiring to you.
Celine, my former boss, was one of the workmates I will always remember. She taught me most of the things I know now, how to work with team, drive sales etc

My favourite Design is Boho print. I love both the colours and patterns.

So many funny memories, but probably the best is the time when Evelyn my co-worker at the Tribal Textiles shop designed our staff uniform – the results were funny! We love these photos!
